3 questions we need answered on NXT 11-22

NXT Logo (WWE)

Last Saturday, NXT tore the house down at their NXT TakeOver: WarGames event. Tonight, we get our normal recap show. With the next batch of tapings not yet done, this show will be a filler episode.

With that in mind, here are three questions we need answered on tonight’s episode of NXT.

What does the women’s division look like?

Over the last two nights, six members of the NXT women’s division (including two that are fighting on tonight’s show) made their main roster debuts in grand fashion. With those call-ups taking place, the women’s division is going to undergo a massive overhaul.

There are the mainstays of Ember Moon, Kari Sane, Nikki Cross and the Iconic Duo. Because of the call-ups, some ladies are going to get bumped up the card and get their chance to shine. Do we see the beginnings of that tonight? Or do we need to wait for the next set of tapings?

Will Johnny Gargano’s losing streak continue?

The story for Johnny Gargano over the last couple of months has been centered around a prolonged losing streak. He lost twice to the now NXT Champion Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas and hasn’t been able to find his groove.

General manager William Regal has givin Johnny Wrestling quite the opportunity on tonight’s show, having a chance to win the WWE UK Championship by defeating Pete Dunne. This will most likely further the story for Gargano, but with not a whole lot of main event talent ready for a title shot, Gargano might get pushed quickly back into the title picture.

What does the era of Almas have in store for the NXT roster?

If there was one surprise at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, it would have to be that NXT crowned a new NXT champion in Almas. Zelina Vega told us over and over again that Almas would become the new champion, but we didn’t believe her. On Saturday night, Almas proved us all wrong.

So now what? Almas being at the top of the mountain creates a lot of different choices for NXT. They could go to Adam Cole right away, who they made look super strong in the WarGames match. Other options include Aleister Black, but it seems a little too early for that. So tonight, we are sure to hear from the champ and Vega, probably warning us about what is next.
