5 questions we need answered on Raw 11-27

Raw

We are now two weeks removed from the Survivor Series pay-per-view and the road to the Royal Rumble seems to be getting underway. There’s a new Intercontinental Champion in town, and tonight will be the first full Raw with Roman Reigns on top of the IC Title picture.

Here are five questions we need answered on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

Will there be an Intercontinental Championship open challenge?

Since winning the IC just a week ago, a lot has been made of a potential Roman Reigns Intercontinental Championship open challenge. Tonight would provide the first opportunity for that to take place. Open challenges work in getting guys over, debuting new guys and give your champion air time each and every week. If the WWE is trying to keep Reigns over while away from the main title picture until WrestleMania, this is the perfect way to do it.

What is next for Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville?

Last week, Paige made her return to WWE television. What was a bigger surprise was that she wasn’t alone. With her were two NXT call-ups in Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The WWE ran a very similar angle on SmackDown Live with Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sara Logan. Is something bigger happening with these six ladies?

Certainly on tonight’s show, we learn more about why Paige has brought this girls under her wing and if it has anything to do with what is happening on SmackDown.

Is Bray Wyatt still on the main roster?

This is a legitimate question. Wyatt was out of the TLC PPV because of illness, but since coming back has had one match against Jason Jordan (at least the only one I can remember). Yes, the feud with Finn Balor ended due to factors out of Wyatt’s control but he hasn’t gotten anything to do since returning.

Wyatt has been one of those ‘what could have been’ stories for the WWE the last couple of years. Does Wyatt even fit into WWE’s plans for Mania’?

Where are we going with Braun Strowman and Kane?

Kane and Braun Strowman have each others attention. What this all leads toward is anyone’s guess. It seems like they are trying to avoid an actual match between these two for as long as possible, but that can only work for some long. At some point, they need to fight and this feud needs to end.

Tonight, perhaps it’s Strowman’s turn to get some revenge.

Do we learn anything about the title match at the Royal Rumble?

Finn Balor, at least to those of us on the internet, was earmarked for the Universal Title match at the Royal Rumble. By the booking of the last month plus for Balor, that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.

That being said, who else is there to challenge Brock Lesnar at the Rumble? That is the question that the WWE will need to answer. Luckily for them, they have a lot of time to answer it. It could start tonight, or they could wait. Either way, they may have no other choice than to put Balor in that match.
