5 questions we need answered on SmackDown Live 11-28

Chris Schubert

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn still have their jobs, for now, a new women’s group is making their mark on the SmackDown Live roster and AJ Styles is still dealing with Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers. Tonight’s show should see the progression of the first two angles mentioned, while their might not be anything to save the last one.

Here are five questions that we need answered on tonight’s edition of SmackDown Live.

Are we getting a Baron Corbin/Bobby Roode feud?

Lumberjack matches are a very useful tool in the WWE. While adding an extra element to an existing feud, it can be the perfect launching point for a brand new feud. That is what we saw last week when lumberjacks Bobby Roode and Baron Corbin got into it, forcing the whole SmackDown Live main event to devolve into chaos. Tonight should give us more of an inclination if that is the direction that WWE is headed in.

What is Shinsuke Nakamura going to do?

Shinsuke Nakamura was also a lumberjack last Tuesday, against WWE’s better judgement. Tip for WWE: don’t put an over babyface in a lumberjack match as a lumberjack. The fans will hijack your main event. Nakamura really hasn’t had anything to do since jobbing to Jinder Mahal in the summertime. This writer thought a huge Survivor Series moment would be parlayed into big things for Nakamura in 2018, but that wasn’t the case.

There also really isn’t anybody on the roster for Nakamaura to face either. Corbin? He’s already faced him. Ziggler? Same thing there. Perhaps WWE puts him with Rusev and that forces the fans to choose who they like.

What’s next for the three newest ladies of SmackDown Live?

Ruby Riot, Sara Logan and Liv Morgan made their mark on last week’s show, and it appears they are going to do it again tonight. As of writing, they are scheduled for a six-women tag team match against Natayla, Naomi and Charlotte. If we are to take Monday night into consideration, there is a good chance that this six-women match doesn’t even get underway. I expect the WWE to continue running this parallel storyline until somebody tries to connect the dots.

Will Shane be angry with Daniel Bryan?

When Shane McMahon left SmackDown Live last week, it seemed like he was under the interpretation that Daniel Bryan would fire Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens following their tag team match against the New Day. That didn’t take place. McMahon will probably be confronting Bryan about this, because the Zayn/Owens/McMahon saga doesn’t appear to be closed. But where do they go from here? That remains to be seen.

Are the Fashion Police ready to play a game?

In what has clearly been one of the better recurring segments of 2017, the Fashion Files are back! Continuing the theme of pop culture references, this weeks edition is based on of the new ‘Jigsaw’ movie. Fandango and Tyler Breeze, when we last left them, were asked if they wanted to play a game. Could the game having anything to do with the ‘2B’ mystery that is still unsolved? Or is it a whole new mystery all together?
