After SmackDown Live managed to successfully take over Monday Night Raw to begin the week, the Tuesday program will now be kicking off its own portion of the Survivor Series lead-up. While the cross-brand rivalry is always entertaining, the show must go on within each brand as well with SmackDown Live already announcing several matches slated to take place on Tuesday evening in Milwaukee.

Sunil Singh will be battling “The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles, United States Champion Baron Corbin will be squaring off against Sin Cara, general manager Shane McMahon will have to deal with both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and Breezango shall unveil their latest Fashion Police installment entitled, “Fashion Dogs.”

However, the premier bout for Tuesday evening will take place in the SmackDown Live tag-team division as The New Day and The Usos will face Aiden English, Rusev, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin will be featured in an eight-man tag-team match.

Although the SmackDown Live tag team division is currently lacking in comparison to its Raw equivalent, which is headlined by both The Shield and The Bar — among others — at the moment, Tuesday’s eight-man affair will be featuring each of the top-four duos in the Tuesday fold. However, the intrigue with this battle lies within the way these teams are laid out with The Usos and The New Day notably teaming up for a change.

The WWE Universe has seen these two teams rap battle, put on lengthy in-ring displays and cut promo after promo while now finally getting the chance to see these five — or for the sake of this match, four — competitors on the same side of the squared circle for once. Due to the fact that The Usos and The New Day have long served as SmackDown Live’s two most popular tag-teams, it was only right to have them oppose one another for the better part of the summer and into the fall.

But since the aforementioned tandem of Gable and Benjamin recently emerged as the top contenders to potentially snag the straps from The Usos, the WWE Universe will not only receivewhat could become the making of a new rivalry, but also a new dynamic from Jimmy, Jey, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E.

Fans should definitely be excited about this one.
