In his first match in a WWE ring in over 11 years, Kurt Angle picked up the pinfall victory to help The Shield defeat the five-man team led by The Miz. After he was taken to the back during the match following a Running Powerslam through a table at the hands of Braun Strowman, Angle returned to the ring to help out Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

Sheamus and Cesaro were the unlucky recipients of a pair of Angle Slams, with the latter being sent through a ringside table.

Instead of Roman Reigns at the center of the Triple Powerbomb, it was the Raw general manager, who got to pin the Intercontinental Champion.
