What in the world will become of The Bludgeon Brothers as Luke Harper and Erick Rowan begin what appears to be a tag-team partnership? While the WWE Universe has already encountered several odd-ball promos cut by the newly minted tag-team, not much is actually known about The Bludgeon Brothers just yet.
It does seem as though The Bludgeon Brothers will eventually be tied into the “Fashion Police” alongside Breezango and The Ascension, but it still remains to be seen as to when exactly a live audience will be introduced to this terrifying tandem. Nonetheless, the WWE Universe should be excited for the eventual arrival of yet another tag-team on SmackDown Live especially if Harper and Rowan will be allowed to succeed out from under the shadow of both Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family as a whole.
This is not the first the world has seen of Harper and Rowan under the same umbrella. While the duo has often been associated with the aforementioned Wyatt Family in addition to serving as singles participants and even competitors, Harper and Rowan have also provided entertaining tag-team matches alongside one another while under the direction of Wyatt. Because the WWE brass knows that this team can work as it has in the past, perhaps it is finally time to allow Harper and Rowan to thrive by themselves.
With the SmackDown Live tag-team division rounding into shape as of late, The Bludgeon Brothers could add another layer to the fold as the grim newcomers on the scene. Of course, The New Day, The Usos and even Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin are currently serving as the top dogs in the division while Breezango, The Ascension and the eventual arrival of The Bludgeon Brothers could give SmackDown Live the edge over the Raw brand in the tag-team category — especially with unconventional tag-teams now running the show on Monday evenings (i.e. The Shield and The Bar).
However, it remains to be seen as to how far The Bludgeon Brothers are allowed to progress going forward. Will the WWE creative team provide the tag-team with an angle long-lasting enough to garner championship gold? Perhaps this is unlikely with the aforementioned slate of duos also present on Tuesday evenings, but Harper and Rowan certainly have both the ability to entertain fans and produce inside the squared circle to become the SmackDown Live Tag-Team Champions in the near future.
Prediction? Harper and Rowan carry this thing all the way to the top. Book it. The Bludgeon Brothers will be SmackDown Live Tag-Team Champions before the end of 2017.
